²⁶ Don’t do anything to the girl. She has not done a sin worthy of death. This is like the person who attacks and murders his neighbor. ²⁷ The man found the engaged girl in the country. And she screamed. But no one was there to save her.

²⁸ A man might meet a virgin who is not engaged to be married. He might force her to have physical relations with him. And people might find out about it.
